The conception of K&M Interiors began organically between childhood friends, Kieran Oaksmith and Meredith Helmick, while reconnecting over a shared passion for design.
K&M Interiors philosophy is that a home should be a source of joy and that it elevates, inspires, and comforts those who live there.
Together, Kieran and Meredith bring a uniquely train eye and understanding of style through defining shapes, blending colors, combining patterns and mixing textures.
Kieran’s love affair of interior design came by way of fashion, as the founder and visionary behind Canopy Blue, a Seattle lifestyle boutique with a devoted and savvy clientele. Kieran’s decades of industry experience influences her refined style and intuitive decisions.
Meredith’s vast industry knowledge is the result of hands-on experience, gained as a junior working alongside senior designers. In 2017, she ventured out on her own establishing important vendor connections and building lasting relationships with her clientele.
K&M Interiors believes that good design is not embodied in a specific style, rather, is the careful consideration of scale and proportion, light and color.
Design tells the story of the individuals who occupy their space, and through that lens, Kieran and Meredith believe each interior design project is one of a kind.
